Pinot noir 2016
Grapes from York Hill Vineyard in the Columbia Gorge AVA. The site is a prized vineyard in a uniquely Hood River, Columbia Gorge, and Oregon location. As with most top notch Pinot plantings, Tom Mcgowan's vines are closely spaced and are single cordon trained. This produces low yields with concentrated Pinot noir characteristics. This wine is a deep ruby colored Pinot with an intense presence of french oak.
A big wine in all ways, this vintage shows classic Zinfandel qualities of rich tannins, high alcohol, and wide and intense flavors that linger on the pallette.
A unique blend of Petite Syrah and Grenache, this wine is rich and robust with a wide spectrum of fruit characteristics and chewy tannins that linger on the finish.
Our favorite house blend, which is our secret, this a full bodied palette filler with elements of fruit, wood, cellar and maker. She is dedicated to the house's hauntings and Harriette herself in particular.
Another exclusive rare varietal we offer, this is a grape originating from Umbria, Italy. Long on tannins, lingering broody fruits, and a complexity sure to please, this wine is a truly unique experience in the theater of wine.
These grapes were from a rare planting of this varietal in Red Mountain AVA, on the upper Columbia Valley. Aglianico has been grown in ancient Europe for melinia. It was a much renowned grape or ancient Rome, but very few plantings are left in the Old World. One of the most tannic and phenolicly rich grapes grown, it also enjoys a strong acidity that is ideal for showcasing and ageing.
Our house made honey wine is full on at 15% ABV with a sweet honey flavor. This is picnic and pancake wine, fresh from the hive. Coming soon!
